A lot of you always request me to do posts regarding Barcelona, a city guide is on the way, and if you haven’t read it yet, I wrote a post about where to stay in the city so here is the link to it if you want to give it a read!
Today is all about food. I am sharing with you my favourite places to eat some fast and cheap foods (brunch and light dinner). I could also write one about fancier restaurants or more sitting down to eat instead f a quick bite if anyone is interested.
- Crepes Barcelona. As you can guess by the name, everything are crepes. I personally love sweet and salty crepes so when you put all the options possible together and create a place with only crepes on the menu, I am going there fore sure. I like going to the one in Gracia just because it’s smaller and I enjoy the area a lot. When you get out you can go get beers in a bar or just sit down in a bank and talk until midnight. In the picture i got the salty crepe, it got spinach, tomato & brie and I just decided to add a fried egg in the middle, great decision.
- Cup & Cake. You have probably heard of Brunch & Cake, Travel & Cake, Brunch by the Sea… they are all the same company. My favourite is the Cup & Cake and Brunch & Cake. The restaurants are pretty small and if you go to busy times you may struggle but the food is really good. There are plenty of options for all tastes, sweet, sour, salty & bitter, you say it, they probably have it. On the picture you can see I got an avocado toast with some poached eggs on top.
- Anita’s Flow. I only discovered this one last time I was home. We were supposed to go and have brunch with Haley, one of my American friends now living in Barcelona, but it was too full and she spotted this place on her way to the restaurant we were supposed to meet. To be honest, best decision, there were so many food options, sides and drinks. The food was absolutely delicious, one of the best brunch restaurant I have ever eaten in. I got an avocado toast with some “Pico de Gallo” and a fried egg on the side, an orange juice and some water, and Haley got a quinoa salad with some chicken on the side and a coffee. We both LOVED our food.
