WHAT INSPIRES ME?

I have been thinking a lot about the new blog, and I wanted  the first post of the rebirth of Simply Carla’s World to be special. I didn’t want to talk about general things, stuff everybody is talking about, so I have sat down in my desk and have thought about ideas for a while, and I have decided that I would share with you what inspires me.

But what is inspiration? By definition, it is “the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.” I have always been extremely creative, music and dance has always surrounded me, I am also an only child so in order to distract myself I had to be quite creative and have a lot of imagination.

I get inspired everyday by different things, people, places… and I think it’s good to have a mix of things that inspire, a beautiful mess. Without rambling anymore, here is what inspires me:

  • Passionate people. All of those who love what they do, when you speak to them about a certain topic they have that little sparkle in their eyes… this is what I love and inspires me to find something out there to make me feel as close as these people feel speaking about what they love.
  • Traveling pictures. I have always love traveling, my parents have done it since I was little so I have been lucky to have visited a lot of places in my 20 years of life. But when I see pictures of places in the world, of people enjoying a destination, doing crazy activities, beautiful sunsets and sunrises… that just reminds me how lucky I am to be alive, to be able to do those things I am seeing one day. It inspires me to be more appreciative of life, of my life, with all its ups and downs.
  • Positiveness. I try to be positive as much as I can, but as everyone, I do have my best and worst moments. Positiveness in general inspire me to be a better person, to try and help others, and those who are stuck with negativity either for personal or external reasons, try to lift them and make them see that it does get better. Having a positive outlook at life will only help you to be happier, and willing to do more things.
  • People who have gone through difficult times, but that hasn’t stopped them for living life to the fullest. I don’t know about you, but I find interviews to war survivors, refugees, jews from the concentration camps, amongst others very inspiring. You are probably thinking I am crazy but I truly find them inspiring for one reason, something they all have in common: The way they see life after the success. I love seeing how even they got the worst situations anyone could ever think of, how they pushed through it and made it to live, and how they talk about life it is just absolutely astonishing, I sometimes see people complaining about the stupidest things ever: their coffee is not strong enough, they didn’t get enough likes on their Instagram picture… and then I see these people being appreciative for every little thing they get to enjoy and for me that is incredibly inspiring. It inspires me to be grateful & to feel lucky to have the life I have.

Here are the things that inspire me the most. I would love to know ONE thing that inspires YOU! Even if you think it is stupid or dumb, I love reading what inspires each individual as we are all so different!
